GWS Pico Stick
Electric airplanes can be a cheaper way to start off with out the expense of some nitro engines. A great way to learn the basics of aircraft control without the room needed for larger aircraft. These planes only require a radio, receiver and servos to get in the air. They can be easily upgraded to better brushless motors for more preformance. Easy to fix and parts are cheap.
We suggest the GWS Pico Stick shown here. Start with this plane and get ready to move up to fast 3D aircraft!

Helicopters capture our attention right away. One thing to note is that they are a little more expensive to purchase and up keep. They can be trickier to learn how to fly and the learning curve is usually more costly. If you want a fun helicopter to fly, we suggest getting one with counter-rotating rotor blades that make hovering easy for first-time pilots.(Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial). Those wishing to have a performace like thier nitro cousins may consider helis like Align's T-Rex or E-flite's Blade CP or 400 3D series. The more expensive helis require separate gyros.Decide what kind of flying style you would like and start from there. Fun to fly, 3D flying of even maybe scale flying.
